Not too long ago I stumbled on 54 more photos from the 2013 Chesapeake Bay Laser Masters Championship that never made it off my camera. I’ve now added them to the gallery starting here.

I had seen pictures of Richmond from this vantage point for years and never knew how to get there. So today, despite the 33-degree weather and winds, I made my way to the Manchester Flood Wall and checked out the awesome vantage point of the city. Had it not been so cold, I probably would have explored a little more. I will definitely be back in warmer weather.
This week the Capital One Mascot Challenge PeeDee the Pirate is up against Sparty and the question was asked: If PeeDee had a superpower, what would it be? Our friend Curtis Thieman googled photos of ECU tailgates and came up with one that was the screen image from our ODU Tailgate video. Sure enough the Capital One Mascot Challenge is featuring it on their facebook page.
Me using PeeDee’s super power (invisibility) at an ECU Tailgate. Ah, the things I do as a fan. #ECU #CapitalOnePeeDee pic.twitter.com/IB5BZEAhVn

Saturday was the final day of racing for the offshore boats at Fishing Bay Yacht Club followed by an oyster roast. The race was a pursuit style race where the slower boats start first and the times are calculated so everyone should finish about the same time. I was aboard Wavelength and for once it was great having boats of all sizes all around us for most of the race. We ended up finishing 9th in the 17-boat fleet while sailing in winds that started around 8 knots and built to as much as 23 knots during the 1 1/2 hour race. On top of that we were short-handed with only 6 on board and flew the spinnaker.
This Columbus Day weekend I got to be in Destin Florida for my college buddy Chris K’s wedding along with a bunch of other college friends. It was quite a trip covering over 2000 miles with plenty of fun along the way.
We started out Go Karting when we arrived Thursday night. I had a little incident (video) which would scar my nose for the remainder of the trip.
Friday was the guys hanging out with bachelor activities. Most of the day was spent lounging on a pontoon boat at Crab Island and exploring parts of the Choctawhatchee Bay and inter-coastal waterway.
Saturday was a rehearsal cookout and watching ECU football.
Sunday was a beautiful beach wedding followed by the reception.
Congratulations Chris and Jaimie! Thanks for having me as part of your special day and what a blast!
